What do you eat?

This has got to be, hands down, the most asked question I hear. "What do you eat?" Usually people can't fathom that I ever eat at all, when I tell them I eat every two hours they repeat the question. "What do you eat?" Usually more confused than before. If you take one thing from my blog, take this, EAT FOOD AND EAT IT OFTEN!!!

Skipping meals isn't healthy! When I weighed over 230 pounds I would eat once or twice a day. I now weigh  125 and I eat at least seven times a day!!! Eat! Seriously, Eat People!!! Stop starving yourselves!

Now to answer your question as to what I eat here goes. I eat high protein, low fat, low carb, low sugar foods. Usually people can't comprehend that there are foods that fit the criteria for all of the above, well, God created lots of healthy food for us! We take that healthy food and make it unhealthy!

So let's get started.

Meat: I eat alot of fish, tuna, turkey, and chicken. I rarely ever eat beef, a good smaller portioned steak every now and then is quite a treat though. I also eat pork loin sometimes for variety.

Vegetables: I eat lots of vegetables. I get the steam fresh bags, whatever is on sale, in the frozen section. I often will eat an entire bag at lunch. I can't afford to spend a fortune on eating healthy, it's just not an option for our family so this means fresh vegetables are few outside of summer. We eat fresh spinach with carrots and dried cranberries as a salad. I often use only vinegar as my dressing, I just love vinegar.

Dessert: I am a sweet eater! For some of you carbs are your downfall, I can easily give up bread, but don't get between me and my dessert! I get creative, my favorite cake is my greek yogurt cake (I'll be sharing that recipe soon). I have something sweet at every meal, I refuse to not have sweets. It's simply not an option.

One food you simply must get to know and learn to love is greek yogurt. It is a must have in my fridge! I eat it flavored, bake with eat, cook with it, it's more versatile than chicken! It's low calorie and has one of the highest protein percentage of anything out there, it's truly incredible.

To sum all of that up, EAT! Oh, and eat some greek yogurt too!
